Clinical Significance
These organisms may be found on vegetation/legumes and wild/domestic birds.
They have been recovered from a variety of clinical specimens and have been implicated in various infections including peritonitis, meningitis, bacteremia, urine and wound infections.
Usual Susceptibility Pattern
These organisms should be susceptible to cephalosporins, TMP/SMX, and quinolones.
