Usual Pathogen
Paracoccidioides brasiliensis
- Soil fungus in subtropical humid areas of central/south America.
- Can cause acute, subacute and chronic infections involving lungs, skin (ulcers), mucous membranes, lymph nodes, bone and internal organs.
- Infectious Diseases consult recommended.
