Treat until clinically stable:  temperature ≤ 37.8°C, heart rate < 100 beats per minute, respiratory rate < 24 breaths per minute, arterial O2 saturation ≥ 90% on room air (or the patient’s baseline level of home O2), systolic blood pressure ≥ 90mm Hg, and normal mental status; and for a minimum of 3 days.
