- Gram negative bacilli with rounded ends (fastidious) nonfermenter
Clinical Significance
This organism has been recovered from the female urogenital tract.
It has been implicated in septicemia, pneumonia, peritonitis, and urogenital infections (including labial abscesses and amnionitis).
Usual Susceptibility Pattern
This organism is usually susceptible to penicillins, cephalosporins, and carbapenems.
Susceptibility to quinolones, TMP/SMX, and aminoglycosides is variable.
