- Evaluate history for use of spermicides, deodorants, chemical douches.

Potential etiology
Mycoplasmoides genitalium (previously Mycoplasma genitalium)
Trichomonas vaginalis
Bacterial vaginosis
Herpes simplex

| Azithromycin | 1g PO | 1 dose |
If unresponsive to azithromycin:

If persistent symptoms after treatment with azithromycin and doxycycline, collect additional specimens for M. genitalium, T. vaginalis, herpes simplex virus and bacterial vaginosis, and then target treatment based on results.
