- Risk factors:
- trauma due to vegetation
- chronic topical steroid use.
- Very resistant to topical therapy; debridement usually required. May need corneal transplant.
- Topical/oral corticosteroids are contraindicated.
- Consider adjunctive systemic antifungal therapy.
