Clinical Significance

This organism is part of commensal skin flora and has been associated with bacteremia, endocarditis, wound, medical device, respiratory and urinary tract infections.

 

Usual Susceptibility Pattern

This organism typically exhibits resistance to penicillins, cephalosporins, clindamycin, and quinolones.

Clinically Significant Infection:
Doxycycline
or
Vancomycin
